this is just a glimpse of the Exquisite City. Check it out,folks! It's wonderful-- and won't be around past December 12. Shall we make a cardboard exquisite city for our upcoming miniature golf course project? I was already considering architecture as the theme-- feedback? Comment, please-- especially from students who'll be the artmakers...

all play and whimsy? There's more-- check out Niki's shooting paintings -- paint-filled cans were tied to the backs of canvases-- and then placed in a firing range. "Artists" shot rifles at the paintings, exploding the cans of paint and creating spontaneous abstract expressions... they were VERY popular-interactive artworks, and everyone wanted a chance to make one,too.

Niki DeSaintPhalle was an incredible artist, full of whimsy and play. Like our class, her work frequently used the human form as subject. No doubt about it - creativity continued to flow through her.
I tried selecting one website for you to visit, but there are A LOT. Instead, I am asking that you search two things--Her series of "Nanas"- large, full figured women, and "Hon"- a gigantic , walk-in, club house style Nana.
